Aircraft lost, never found. Lt. Harbert MIA. Last seen northern Holland at German border. Possibly crashed in IJsselmeer or North Sea.

We believe Lt. Harbert covered the bomber stream that passed this day this zone of Lake IJsselmeer (Old Zuyder Sea) on the route back to the UK. Possibly already damaged came down or was shot down in the Lake. Large wreck-parts of a P-38 H or J were recovered on this position in 1965, but aircraft-no. could not be established. Possibly this was Lt. Harbert's aircraft. Human remains not found. Under investigation.
