SNEEK GENERAL CEMETERY

On the bank of the lake east of Sneek, crashed Mosquito DZ689, 25 Sqn RAF, 20 October 1943. Navigator F/O Burrow became POW. Pilot Squadron Leader Ken Mathews was killed and buried here. He is the only Allied military buried in this city.
