Had problems on way back from Merseburg. Crew jumped east of Vollenhove. Aircraft crashed in a lake named Belterwijde, on the right side of Ronduite. Five were direct POW. Sgt. Marlowe's parachute did not open. Three men evaded and stayed with the underground, but two of them were found 18 Dec. 1944 in the same safehouse in Meppel and arrested.
