One of the first raids on Germany by the USAAF. Target was obscured by coulds and bad weather. The bomb groups turned north towards alternative target Emden. This aircraft was possibly shot down by fighters north of the Frisian Islands in the North Sea. Lost Without Trace (LWT).  Crew is commemorated on the Cambridge Cemetery Wall of the Missing. All 10 are MIA.
