Over target attacked by German fighters, killed the tail gunner. Damage to engines. On the return at low altitide, part of the crew bailed out near Aalsmeer, close to Schiphol airfield. The aircraft belly landed with three men on board northeast of Schiphol airfield under Amsterdam. Sgt. Richardson was buried in village Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Nine crew POW.
