HEERDE GENERAL CEMETERY

In this cemetery rest 2 RAF bomber crews, 12 men in total (21 July 1944 and 6 November 1944). In 1946 an American airman was exhumed from here. He was shot dead by SS-troops on the nearby military training ground Wezep/Oldenbroek. This cemetery had or has no relation with the Old Zuyder Sea.
